🦈🤩We're pleased to share that two of our Year 10 students, Joshua S and Lewis B have been successful in their recent rugby trials and are now in the Sale sharks PDG pathway at U15s! The boys had their first session last night at Lymm Rugby Club and had previously represented Sale High for the Trafford Schools rugby program when they were in Year 7.

Josh plays club Rugby for Trafford MV at Fly half and Lewis plays his club Rugby for Sale FC at prop, flanker and also in the backs. The combination of the Trafford Schools Rugby Program and their local clubs has developed their skills to successfully take part on the first step of the Sale Sharks pathway!

Well done, Joshua and Lewis! We're all very proud of you! 🏈🏆

⭐️✨We had another exciting week in Science Club this Wednesday! This week our budding Scientists made Ooblek, which is a non-Newtonian fluid made from cornstarch and water that acts like a liquid when handled gently but becomes solid when a sudden force is applied! We loved turning it pink and green with food colouring too!

🩷💚Science Club is in room 29 every Wednesday lunch time! We'd love to see some more of our Year 7 and 8 students come along.

🤩Our Year 8 students recently took part in the Trafford Youth Council Conference learning about the Youth Council, taking part in a workshop developing their debating skills and a workshop on Design Sprint.

🌟The Year 10 students are members of the Youth Council and were helping to run the event. All the students were fantastic and a credit to our school. They were so inspired by the design sprint idea they wanted to speak to Mr Rogers as soon as they got back to school!

📚Earlier this morning, our Sale High Trafford Young Readers group were very lucky to be invited along to a Poetry and Performance workshop hosted by Nasima Bee from Young Identity and held at Altrincham Grammar School for Boys (AGSB). Joined by students from both AGSB and Sale Grammar School, the group were encouraged to talk about resilience and change – each student had the opportunity to write and perform a tanka, which is a longer version of a haiku.

💫It was great to see the students’ collaborating in their discussions on the themes of ‘The First Year’ novel by Matt Goodfellow, which is the first book that they’ve been tasked to read as part of the Trafford Young Readers Award!

🤝Everyone had a wonderful time and the opportunity to make new friends from other schools. A big thank you to AGSB for hosting the workshop. We can't wait for the next meeting!
