Day 4: we’ve had an amazing day at Aqualand in Torremolinos. The students have been amazing as always and loved having a long time in the park. Later, we enjoyed an Italian meal with our guide Ignacio in Muelle Uno harbour. The students have met and exceeded our expectations all week and made us proud. Day 3: We arrived in Malaga today and firstly we went to a tapas restaurant where they tried chorizo, albóndigas (meat balls), tortilla (Spanish omelette), calamares, chicken with lemon, paella and aubergines with black treacle sauce. Later, we climbed up the Alcazaba fortress and finally arrived at the beach, which is where they were desperate to go all day! A fun and hot day again. ... See MoreSee Less
After a long journey and early morning yesterday, we visited the parque Maria Luisa. We’ve had a busy day in Sevilla starting at the Plaza de España. We have visited the Alcázar palace, wandered around the famous and old town of Barrio Santa Cruz. Later, we visited the Cathedral, climbed the 35 floors up the Giralda tower and heard the bells ringing. Finally, we visited the Plaza de toros bull ring and the famous Triana area over the Guadalquivir river. Students have been superb and impressed our guide Ignacio. 🌍✨We recently celebrated our annual Sale High Cultural Diversity Day at school! Students enjoyed taking part in lots of enriching activities from around the world, including different forms of dance including Caribbean dance, Flamenco and Line Dancing! We also held sessions on playing the Samba drums, African drums, Taekwondo, Tie-Dye T-shirt making, Freedom Football, Carnival masks, Sushi making and lots more! 🍣🥋
💃🏻🥁During period 5 everyone enjoyed watching performances of some of their newly learnt talents on the school field! It was wonderful to see some of our students wearing traditional/cultural clothing. Well done to everyone for another fantastic Cultural Diversity Day! 💙🫶 ... See MoreSee Less
✨Our Year 9 DofE students recently undertook their bronze award!🥉
🚶♀️🚶The aim of the DofE expedition section is to inspire young people to develop initiative and a spirit of adventure and discovery by planning, training for and completing an adventurous self-sufficient journey as part of a team. Everyone completed a 2 day walk near Rivington in the sun, wind and rain- typical British weather!☔️☀️
⛺️🌿All students were amazing and kept up their team spirit throughout the few days but it is safe to say they were all ready for bed by the end of it! 🏆Around a hundred of our students recently took part in the Junior British Physics Olympiad! The national quiz competition is conducted by the Institute of Physics. We have had amazing results this year from our Year 10 Scientists, competing nationally with every other school that participated in the country.
