 Welcome to Sale High School

Dear all,

Sale High is a school going places. Over the last few years our school has gone from strength to strength and we are hugely proud of the hard work and commitment that staff and students have shown in creating the wonderful learning community you see today. This hard work has been rewarded by the brilliant academic results achieved by our students.  GCSEs changed a lot this year. It was with a great deal of trepidation that staff and students awaited results day. But our results were brilliant! Grade 4 is the ‘old’ grade C and we saw an amazing 69% of our students achieving 4+, equivalent to the  ‘old’ A*-C , in English and Maths: this was a 10% increase on last year and the very best we have ever achieved! We did similarly well on a whole range of other measures, showing what a superb education our students receive across the board.

Schools aren’t just about great results though. They are also about love and care and developing young people so they can become the ‘very best versions of themselves’. Mutual respect and a calm orderly environment allow everyone to learn. We strive to develop our young people so they are socially responsible and grow up to play an active and useful role in their communities.  Finally, we want to provide our students with rich experiences and opportunities through our clubs, trips and visits and our focus on leadership development.

As a new Headteacher I am already enormously proud of our staff and our students. I am hugely excited about leading the school in the next stage of its development. If you are considering sending your child to Sale High School please do get in touch. We would be very pleased to show you around during a normal school day.  I am sure, like me, you will be impressed by the hard work and focus in lessons, the friendly welcome from our students and the deep care and commitment shown by our staff.  You will be able to see why we are fast becoming the school of choice for our local community.

With very best wishes
