What job will you choose? Will it reflect your skills, qualifications, your goals?

At Sale High school we support our students to make the right choice each step of the way by offering impartial and quality careers advice. We want our students to make well informed and aspirational choices for there own futures.

Our exceptional work in careers has gained the school Gold CIEAG award.

 

 

 

Destinations/Progression of previous students

91% of 2016 leavers from Sale High went on to Further Education

9% went on to train through an apprenticeship.

  

Our Careers advisor, Miss McGuigan listens carefully giving impartial advice and guidance and is in school two days a week on a Wednesday and Thursday.  Drop in lunch and breaktime.

Year 11 

There are 3 main routes which are availble to students: 

A-levels

  • Choose 3 subjects
  • Ideal if you want to choose a wide range of subjects

 

 

Vocational course  

  • For those who have a real interest in a particular subject area

Apprenticeships

  • Earn money and gain industry experience in the workplace and a nationally recognised qualification
  • For most apprenticeships it is 4 days in the workplace and 1 day at college or training centre
