Starting a new school is an exciting time. At Sale High School we pride ourselves on our transition process. Once your application has been accepted we will start to work with you and your child to ensure the journey to Sale High School is as smooth as possible.

Mr Scully, Assistant Headteacher - KS3/4 Achievement and Transition will be visiting you at your primary school to introduce himself and inform students what will be happening over the next few months.

You will come and spend the day in school, meet some of our teachers and students and get a feel for the school. Transition day is the same date for all High Schools and therefore you do not need to inform your primary school thay you will be absent. Please wear your primary school uniform.

Parents are invited to attend transition evening on the same day at 5:30pm. Following the main presentation from our Headteacher and other members of the Senior Leadership Team, parents will meet in smaller groups and have the opporuntiy to speak to teaching and support staff.

Summer School

10am - 2pm

SHS are running their Summer School again this summer. Summer school is open to all year 6 students who will be joining SHS in September. Summer School provides an opportunity for children to familiarise themselves with the school and to make friends.

The cost of summer school is approximately £90.

Your first day at school

You will spend the morning with your form tutor and take a tour around the school. You will receive your planner, timetable and other information you will need before you start your lessons in the afternoon.

Manor Adventure
October 2018

For students joining us in September this activity packed residential weekend in Shropshire is a fantastic opportunity for our new students to bond as a group and take part in a wide range of exciting and memorable activities. The total cost for the visit to Manor Adventure is approximately £220 (deposit payable in July), the whole balance is to be paid by the end of September. This cost includes transport, accommodation, activities and meals.
