Our mission statement is clear that we aim to be the 'school of choice' in the local community. We believe it is important that students attend their local school and can access the wider curriculum and embrace all the opportunities available by learning and succeeding within their local environment.
We strive to provide a well ordered and safe environment where students are confident, happy and have positive attitudes. We expect our students to show respect and to value each other as well as celebrate diversity and achievement. We expect excellent attendance and punctuality to school, pride in the school uniform and involvement in the broad and rich extra-curricular programme on offer.
Sale High School creates an ambitious learning climate through high expectations and aspirations.Â Our school curriculum is broad and well balanced at KS3 and KS4. We provide a full and diverse range of courses at KS4 to support transition at KS5. The six super learning days scheduled across the year enrich the timetable and provide an opportunity for departments to collaborate and ensure students enjoy a 'joined up' experience often working with outside agencies and other education providers such as theatre groups, musicians and artists.
Teachers provide stretch, challenge and support to develop skills, knowledge and understanding. They will offer intervention as required so that students can confidently engage in their learning and so meet their full potential.
We believe that working together, teachers and parents can support students to achieve their ambitious targets and so be successful. We embrace parental involvement and value parent voice. Parental support for homework as an integral part of the learning process and which aims to consolidate learning is encouraged and supports our drive to develop independent, creative and enquiring minds. Our success depends upon good home school liaison, regular two way communication and we act in loco parentis for students whilst they are in our care.
